The Fire Services Fund-raising Shop CIC (FSFS CIC) is a “not-for-profit” charitable company. Its stated aim, by using novel retail methods, is to assist in fundraising for charity and the welfare of members, their partners and dependents of the Fire Service community.
To achieve this aim, we run the original “shop-in-a-box” scheme (click here for more details). Also, when invited to attend, we. the FSFS CIC, will run a large formal retail outlet at an event for charitable purposes (click here for more details).
This company. as intended, only makes a minimal profit under these schemes as the majority of the profit is given to registered charities by the organisers of the event.
To pay for the running expenses and warehousing, we run a regular wholesale and retail outlet. There, we sell other toys, plastic yellow helmets, presentation and retirement gifts. Any profit made by the company is donated to the Firefighters Charity Registered charity in England and Wales (No. 1093387) and Scotland (SC040096) at the end of the trading year.
